Private Capital Advisers

Private Capital Advisers is a boutique, owner-operated wealth management practice in Cottesloe. Its clients include individuals and families as well as charities, not-for-profits and institutions with capital to steward over time.

The team combines financial planning, chartered accounting, investment analysis and implementation support. Research informs decisions about portfolio construction, manager selection and the continuing oversight of assets, with attention to the client's financial purpose rather than a product-led approach.

Investment advice considers the purpose of capital, liquidity, cost and tolerance for volatility before selecting holdings. Individual investments are evaluated for the part they play in a broader financial strategy. Portfolio management includes reviewing concentration, portfolio costs and the way holdings interact. An ongoing assessment can identify whether investments remain consistent with the client's purposes and time horizon. Wealth management looks at how accounts and holdings work together.

For organisations, advice can address the investment responsibilities of boards and trustees. Personal clients may need to plan for education, a home, an inheritance or a transition to retirement. In each setting, the firm links an investment strategy to the decisions that matter to the owner of the capital.
