iCad Drafting & Design

iCad Drafting & Design works from Lilydale, Melbourne, focusing on residential and commercial building design, architectural drafting and town planning. The studio develops each commission around the site, the way the building will be used, planning requirements and the practical objectives of the project. Its work includes new homes, dual occupancies, multi-unit developments, extensions, warehouses, retail and childcare projects. From the first discussion, scope, spatial priorities and the approval pathway are considered together so that an early concept can continue into planning, permit and construction documentation without losing its original direction. During design, iCad Drafting & Design considers layout, site response, daylight, circulation, architectural character and buildability as connected decisions. The team works from the Yarra Valley across metropolitan Melbourne and Victoria, with experience spanning residential and small-to-medium commercial development. Residential work is shaped around everyday living and long-term use, while development and commercial projects also address site yield, planning controls, parking and access, building use and consultant requirements. This allows the design to become progressively more resolved rather than being recreated at each project stage.
