bureau^proberts

bureau^proberts is an architecture and design practice led from Brisbane with studios in Sydney and London. Its work is organised across Development, Residential and Public + Art sectors, supported by architecture, interior design, urban design, master planning, research and product design. This breadth allows the practice to move between individual buildings, larger development sites and questions of public space and city context.

Development projects require an understanding of planning, commercial objectives, public interface and long-term use, while residential work places more emphasis on living patterns, site qualities and material experience. Public projects add cultural meaning and multiple stakeholder requirements. Ideas and knowledge can therefore move between project types rather than remaining isolated within a single sector.

The practice can begin with feasibility, concept design and master planning before progressing through developed architectural and interior design to detailed documentation. A larger multidisciplinary team provides capacity for consultant coordination, complex briefs and collaboration across studios, helping early spatial ideas remain connected to technical delivery.

The Brisbane studio is on Creek Street, with additional studios in Surry Hills and London. The practice has a long history under the leadership of Liam Proberts and has delivered work across South-East and North Queensland, Canberra and international locations.
