The Safe Step

The Safe Step is an Australian recruitment and search consultancy specialising in health, safety, environment and wellbeing, with a physical Brisbane CBD office at Level 14, 241 Adelaide Street. It also operates offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The Queensland team covers senior and executive permanent appointments, mid-level recruitment and interim HSE roles, giving Brisbane employers dedicated local access to a national specialist network.

Services include permanent WHS and HSE recruitment, temporary and fixed-term contracting, executive search and unbundled recruitment support. Employers can engage the firm for interview panels, capability assessments, role or function development, psychometric assessment, reference checking, talent benchmarking and market mapping rather than outsourcing every stage of the hiring process.

The Safe Step also provides HSE consulting and capability development, connecting hiring with the technical requirements of safety, risk, wellbeing, workers compensation, environment and compliance functions. This specialist focus makes the service suitable for employers that need more than general recruitment support, particularly where the role carries significant operational or regulatory responsibility. Its Brisbane office, local phone and email provide a direct Queensland contact while the wider network supports interstate search and contracting requirements.
