The Newstead Group

We help first-home buyers, homeowners and investors from our Newstead office, including loan reviews after settlement. We discuss each client's financing purpose and lender requirements before preparing a formal application.

We begin with the client's property plans, intended timing, income, deposit and existing debts. Those facts establish a practical basis for discussing available mortgage and finance structures.

For a first property purchase, we explain deposits, associated transaction costs, income records and the lender's assessment process. A borrowing estimate still needs to be supported by complete evidence.

We compare more than a headline interest rate. Repayment flexibility, fixed or variable structures, offset arrangements, loan duration and potential switching costs can all affect the suitability of a mortgage.

For property investors, we discuss expected rental income, holding expenses, current liabilities and plans for additional purchases. Credit policies can differ across institutions and property types.

When reviewing an existing mortgage, we examine its outstanding balance, term, repayment features and potential refinancing costs. Staying with the present lender may be considered alongside new products.
