SBD Studio

SBD Studio is a residential building design and interiors studio in Gymea, primarily engaged in custom new homes, dual occupancies, medium and large renovations, townhouse developments and integrated interior design. Its role begins with the architectural and spatial questions of the brief rather than only with back-end drafting, creating a continuous line between concept development and technical information.

SBD Studio's service offering spans Architectural Design, Concept Design, Residential Architecture, Renovation Design, Development Application Drawings, DA Approval, Construction Documentation, 3D Rendering, and Interior Architecture. Each item addresses a different project question, from establishing the concept and architectural form to organising development application information, adding construction detail and, where relevant, strengthening spatial communication through 3D or interior design.

SBD Studio combines residential building design with interior architecture in the same service offering. Custom homes and townhouse developments are resolved at the scale of the building and site, renovations require a careful relationship between retained and new work, and interior architecture continues the design into the internal spaces rather than treating them as a separate layer.
