O’Brien Electrical Engineering & Contractors Ballarat was founded as Jenkins Electrics Pty Ltd by Paul Jenkins in 1961 serving Ballarat and surrounding suburbs. Expanding into the field of industrial automation and the introduction of Programmable Logic Controllers into industrial control systems, the business continued to grow. In 2005, Jenkins Electrics was invited to join the Laser Group due to our extensive experience and respected status in the electrical industry. Due to Laser’s superior systems, tools and business support, Jenkins Electrics accepted the opportunity to further grow the business in other sectors of the electrical market. Trading as Laser Electrical Ballarat, the company continued to grow as a leading electrical contracting business and also expanded to include their own electrical engineering department to be able to offer complete automation solutions to clients.
