Officer Woods Architects

Officer Woods Architects was established in 2007. It is a Fremantle architecture practice working across public architecture, single and multiple housing, education, urban design and housing research at the overlap of architecture, landscape and city-making.

Core project types include public and cultural architecture, education, houses, multi-residential and social housing, urban design and community projects. The practice develops specific responses to people, place and contemporary social issues, extending its design work through teaching, research, competitions and built projects.

Education, community and public projects often move through extended decision and approval processes. Officer Woods Architects uses master planning, staged design and technical coordination to preserve a clear architectural direction as different parties become involved.

From project initiation through detailed delivery, Officer Woods Architects can provide architectural design, commercial architecture, concept design, construction documentation, feasibility design and sustainable architecture. Design iteration and consultant coordination are used to resolve approvals, construction logic and technical requirements before they become site problems. As the work moves from concept into detailed design, Officer Woods Architects uses drawings, specifications and consultant coordination to make the project progressively more precise.
