Higgs Peta Dr Urogynaecologist

is to provide excellence in health care for women with pelvic floor dysfunction at the Buderim Private Hospital Medical Center and to promote continence and pelvic health for women of all ages. Dr Peta Higgs is a subspecialist Urogynaecologist trained in Australia and in the UK. After obtaining her general obstetric and gynaecology fellowship under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in Queensland, she completed further training in the subspeciality field of Urogynaecology, undertaking a year in Manchester, England and 3 years in Melbourne. She was then awarded the Certificate of Urogynaecology in 2006. Her interests include female urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse and in particular laparoscopic pelvic floor repair. She is an examiner in Urogynaecology and a member of the Urogynaecology Sub-Committee for RANZCOG.
