Ground Up Building & Carpentry

Ground Up Building & Carpentry is a Canberra building company combining residential construction, commercial fitouts and specialist carpentry. Led by builder and carpenter Matt Molinari, the team works across renovations, extensions, custom homes and business spaces, with project management and design coordination included in its service model. Published projects include residential and commercial work in Canberra.

Renovation and extension services cover individual rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home upgrades and additional living space. Custom builds begin with consultation and design, followed by planning, detailed quotation, approvals, construction and handover. This gives clients a continuous process rather than separating early planning from site delivery.

Commercial work includes office renovations and build-outs for retail, restaurant and other business environments. Ground Up also lists project management, design and construct, architect engagement, demolition, certification, engineering, electrical and plumbing coordination among its capabilities.

Specialist carpentry remains a key part of the business, including bespoke stairs, architectural details, pergolas and decking. The company holds ACT Builder Licence 2020818 and uses a scope and quotation process before construction. Its hands-on structure suits clients seeking a local builder for custom residential work, renovation projects or commercial spaces requiring close coordination and detailed finishing.
