With Logistics in their blood, second generation Customs Brokers Scott and Trent Thornett’s vision to establish a dynamic logistics company with a difference was realised in 1999 when Global Transport Logistics first opened its doors for business. Joined by their father and industry statesman Peter Thornett in the early 2000’s, Global Transport Logistics had quickly grown into a multi-generational family owned and operated business with strong historical ties to the Western Australian logistics industry and a lineal link to Fremantle Port dating back well over 100 years. With a mission to provide their customers with a fully managed logistics service, based on professionalism, integrity and a high level of customer service, Global Transport Logistics rapidly grew into one of the larger privately owned and operated logistics service providers in the Western Australian market and an industry leader. To ensure their customers would receive the highest level of service and be offered a truly in-house service, Global Transport Logistics, in their infancy, invested heavily in road transport and warehousing plant and equipment. These investments would not only complement their customs brokerage and freight forwarding departments but enhance their reputation as a “total service provider”.
