DNA Architects Canberra

DNA Architects Canberra contributes to the changing places in which people live, work and gather across Canberra and its surrounds. DNA established its Canberra practice in 2001 and now works from Lonsdale Street in Braddon. The studio combines close attention to domestic scale with the planning, documentation and coordination capability required for larger development work.

Core work involves private homes, multi-residential work, commercial architecture and interiors from concept through construction. The process works back from user experience into plan, section and external relationships while remaining sensitive to budget and construction sequence. Its process develops site opportunity, patterns of occupation, development controls and buildability together, with key decisions aligned across clients, consultants and builders.

At the outset, DNA Architects Canberra helps clients understand site opportunity, approval pathways, budget boundaries and an appropriate scope of service. As work develops, drawings and specifications gain precision and are coordinated with structural, services, landscape and other consultants. During construction, attention turns to explaining intent, responding to site questions and protecting important spatial relationships. This continuity helps prevent isolated decisions and preserves a coherent line from first discussion to occupation.
