Doorey Legal & Advisory

Doorey Legal & Advisory is a boutique legal practice based in Martin Place, Sydney, with a focus on personal and family-related legal matters. Its principal areas of work include family law, wills and estates, family planning, private advisory services and alternative dispute resolution, supported by a small specialist team.

In family law, the firm advises on divorce, de facto relationships, parenting arrangements, child support, property settlements, spousal maintenance and financial agreements. Matters may be progressed through negotiation, collaborative practice, mediation, arbitration or litigation depending on the circumstances and the client's objectives.

The firm's wills and estate practice includes will drafting, succession and estate planning, testamentary trusts, probate, estate administration, powers of attorney, enduring guardianship and contested estate matters. Its private advisory work also extends to family trusts, wealth protection, family businesses, investment structures and trustee arrangements.

A key feature of the practice is its emphasis on resolution-focused methods. Where appropriate, the firm uses collaborative law, mediation and arbitration to reduce unnecessary conflict while still preserving the option of court proceedings when required. Clients can engage the Sydney office directly for consultations and can also begin selected family law and wills and estate matters through the firm's online systems.
