DJAS Architecture

Responding to Canberra's seasons, planning controls and urban scale, DJAS Architecture uses architecture to advance client goals. DJAS Architecture has operated since 1987, with its national office in Kingston and additional studios in Brisbane and Armidale. This network supports complex public and commercial commissions across the capital region, regional New South Wales and Queensland.

Core work involves architecture, urban design, interiors and project delivery for public, commercial, education, residential and regional work. The process works back from user experience into plan, section and external relationships while remaining sensitive to budget and construction sequence. The practice connects urban thinking, architectural design, interior experience and technical delivery, drawing specialist capability across its studios.

At the outset, DJAS Architecture helps clients understand site opportunity, approval pathways, budget boundaries and an appropriate scope of service. As work develops, drawings and specifications gain precision and are coordinated with structural, services, landscape and other consultants. During construction, attention turns to explaining intent, responding to site questions and protecting important spatial relationships. This continuity helps prevent isolated decisions and preserves a coherent line from first discussion to occupation.
