Constructive Building

Constructive Building is a boutique Canberra residential builder founded by John Matthews in 2008. Its services include new dwellings, custom homes, knockdown rebuilds, extensions and renovations, alongside broader commercial project experience and a smaller-project management model.

The core service mix includes Custom Home Builder, New Home Build, Knockdown Rebuild, Home Extension, Home Renovation. Scope is shaped around the site, the existing building where relevant, the intended use and the client brief. New-build work covers complete delivery, while renovation, extension and rebuild projects respond to the conditions of an established property.

The company offers a design-and-construct pathway supported by structured construction programming and site management. Its principal has project-management and carpentry experience and remains involved from planning and construction preparation through site delivery. Early stages establish the brief, site constraints, budget direction and design information. Construction then moves through trade coordination, material scheduling, site management and completion, with the level of design input adjusted to the type and complexity of the project.

The business primarily serves ACT. Its main contact point is Mawson, Mawson, ACT 2607. Projects are organised around practical building delivery, with design coordination and construction management used where the scope requires an integrated process.
