Ashford Lamaya Architects is an exciting architectural company established in 2023 by long-term Northern Territory locals, architects, and collaborators, Randal Ashford and Irma Lamaya. Randal and Irma first worked together at university, and then in the same architecture firm in the early 2000s. They each established their own successful, award-winning architectural studios, and by 2018 were collaborating again on major projects. Their successful collaborations confirmed just how well they work together, with their shared vision for creating innovative architecture and developing Northern Australia. In 2023, Randal and Irma decided to combine their experience, professional skills, and supportive teams to form the new company - Ashford Lamaya Architects. The team at Ashford Lamaya Architects prides itself on listening and working with clients to provide excellent service, attention to detail, and exceptional standards. Working collaboratively with consultants and contractors, they achieve the best outcome for each project, taking into account aesthetics, practicality, functionality, budget, authority requirements, constructability, and sustainability.
