Our long-standing reputation is built on a foundation of technical expertise, personal service, and regional knowledge . Baird & Hayes was formed in 1946 when Ken Baird returned from World War II and began offering land surveying services across Southern and Western Queensland. In those early days, Ken’s commitment was so strong he often travelled by camel through remote terrain to reach his projects. In the 1950s , Keith Hayes joined the firm, becoming the second principal in the 1970s . Together, Ken and Keith built a reputation for technical excellence, professionalism, and old-fashioned service . Their legacy is still alive today through our core values:
