Russell & Deanna Barnes started Barnes Prestige Mowing in 1995. Before starting Barnes Prestige Russell worked at Orange City Council for 18 years as a parks and gardens plant operator and gardener. Russell and Deanna decided to start their own business and received a contract to do the work for Orange Council.
